Swedish Body Massage

Swedish Massage or Classic Massage was founded in the 18th century, by Pehr Henrick Ling, a Swedish Physical Therapist and teacher of medical gymnastics. He has been called the "Father of Massage".

The primary goal of Swedish massage is relaxation and stress relief, but it can also offer other benefits, such as improved circulation, reduced muscle tension, pain relief, and an overall sense of well-being. It's suitable for people of all ages and is often recommended for those new to massage or those seeking a gentle and soothing experience.

Swedish body massage aids the body’s natural mechanism to release stresses, which have built up over a period of time. It is generally a relaxing massage with light to firm pressure using long and gliding movements, effleurage, kneading, vibration, tapping and friction, which induce mental and physical relaxation and reduce the everyday stress on the body through a nurturing process of touch and response. It decreases muscle soreness, increases flexibility, and promotes general health. Overall it is restorative and balancing, helping to provide a feeling of wellbeing.
