Metta Yoga and Massage honours this difficult time regarding COVID-19 by refraining from giving in person Massage treatments and offers a number of alternative online therapy options and at least two metres apart face-to-face Yoga classes. In person treatments will resume from 1st July 2020, should this still be the guidance given by the government, and will adhere to strict protective measures related to the Corona virus.
Metta Yoga and Massage has gone online! We are now offering online Yoga tuition and online Massage Therapy as well as face to face therapies. Find more information here. If you have limited time in your day or have a long way to travel to reach us, online classes or therapies could be for you!
Welcome to Metta Yoga and Massage, providing Massage treatments, Yoga Therapy sessions and Yoga lessons for aligned, fully functional, pain free bodies, as well as mental and emotional wellbeing. Massage treatments and one-to-one Yoga sessions can be carried out at The Lansdown Clinic in Bath. The clinic offers free parking and is in central Bath. Services offered are also available at other venues in Bath and Bristol. Mobile services are currently offered in Bristol.
There are various Massage traditions offered. Often a holistic approach is used for the client, tailoring treatments for specific needs, drawing and combining techniques from many traditions. Specialising in Deep Tissue Massage with Trigger Point Therapy, musculature and fascia is worked on from the deepest layers, relieving tight and chronic muscle pain . Therapeutic Yoga postures are often taught as part of the treatment plan to give the client further benefit and in the period between Massage treatments. Neal’s Yard remedies are used for treatments, which are natural, organic and ethical.
Yoga Therapy sessions are available as an addition to Massage treatments or independently. Yoga Therapy is the practice of Yoga to clear discomfort, pain, injury and limitations in the body. This includes a full body assessment, focusing on correct body alignment and the bio-mechanic condition; and includes the teaching of and performance of asanas (postures) in modified and intelligent ways, when the individual has injuries, pain or physical limitations and/or to prepare for or rehabilitate from surgery.
Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Pranayama (Breathing Technique) classes are available. Specialising in Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, these classes are dynamic, flowing, strengthening and fat burning, stepping up cardiac activity. Corporate and Party Event Yoga classes and Massage treatments are available, which are a lot of fun and can be reviving before or after a big event or for work. You can find more information here. Regular sessions of Onsite Massage and Yoga therapies can be held at your business.

When arranging an appointment for the first time you will be sent pre-therapy screening questions, to make sure you are safe to go ahead with a treatment and to begin to prepare the most effective treatment plan for you. If any of the total contra-indications below occur you must cancel your appointment and postpone until symptoms have subsided. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy and a 50% treatment charge for room rental and time lost if less notice given (depending).
