Welcome to Metta Yoga and Massage, in Central Bath, where we provide eco-friendly holistic Bodywork treatments and Yoga lessons, for aligned, flexible, pain free bodies, as well as mental and emotional wellbeing, and physical aesthetics. Metta means loving-kindness. In a world tainted by all kinds of destructiveness, Metta in thought, and deed brings unity, calm, and mutual understanding.

Metta is owned and by Yoga and Massage Therapist, Joanna, who offers an array of bodywork therapies. She is very experienced and highly qualified, and has trained in Yoga and Massage therapies in India, Thailand, London, Bristol, and Bath, with over 9 years experience. Phoebe is another Soft Tissue Massage Therapist offering Massage therapies, including Sports Massage Therapy, at Metta. She has trained at the University of Bath.

One-to-one therapies are carried out at The Lansdown Clinic in Bath. The Clinic offers FREE parking.

If you are in pain; feeling tension and "sticky" in your muscles and joints; are suffering with reduced mobility and/or an injury; are feeling depressed, sluggish, stressed, low energy; are feeling busy minded, overwhelmed or confused; or feeling out of balance in any way, then Metta therapies will help you back to well-being. Metta offers a large array of therapies, based in both Eastern philosophy and Western science. We believe in treating the client holistically for remedy, then maintaining these results and preventing further ailments.

A variety of Massage traditions are offered. Often a tailored approach is used for the client, personalising treatments for specific needs, drawing and combining techniques from many Massage traditions. 

Fully clothed Acupressure Chair Massage treatments are also available: if you want to rejuvenate, relax, and yet leave feeling energised, this type of massage is excellent, and you have the option to return unruffled to your daily activities.

Several Yoga traditions are taught, such as Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative. Private Yoga lessons and courses are taught one-to-one or to small or large groups. Metta now additionally runs Online Yoga Classes; if you have limited time in your day or have a long way to travel to reach us, online classes could be for you. Yoga Therapy sessions are offered to assess the client's body bio-mechanically, and to then offer specific Yoga postures to relieve them of incorrect posture, pain and mobility dysfunction and/or to prepare for, or rehabilitate from surgery. 

Hen or Pamper Parties are available for your group at your venue. 

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy and a 50% treatment charge if under 24 hours cancellation notice is given. If any of the total contra-indications below occur you must cancel your appointment and postpone until symptoms have subsided.
